Week 1 of FMP - 22nd of Feb

This week is my first week thinking about my FMP for the second year, I had already discussed working with Brandon Lee who is on the DJ course within the College and I found out that we were going to be put with a class that we needed to work with.

Next week I find out what class I am working with and I requested to be put with the DJ course so that I could still work with Brandon.

Brandon and I discussed as follows:

How will I help him?

- I will be doing promotion tasks, keeping him on track, helping with Livestreams, creating a podcast with him for promo on the MET radio, creating a way for fans to interact and ask questions to him, get him to do some YouTube clips to gain a following on other platforms so that we can start promoting on other platforms, create him a press pack to send out to organisations and gain an interest in the public eye.

What will he be doing?

- He will be creating an EP of 3 songs that will be released on Spotify through an aggregator that takes 4 weeks to upload so there is a very specific time frame that the work will need to be done by. The tracks will then be promoted in a final livestream once they are released.

Any artwork? - There will be photos taken for his promo stuff and there will potentially be graphics art work for a logo of some sorts

What I need to do?

- I need to get all the photos so that I can begin looking at ways of promotion, I need to get demographics for knowing his audience, help him develop a brand, make sure that his work is getting done, begin to think of topics that I can discuss with Brandon on a podcast, begin to think about video ideas for YouTube

What resources will I need?

- Google Meets for our weekly meeting that will be on a Monday, recorded sessions will be put on our Websites

- Google Scholar for research purposes

- Google docs to record notes and to develop my ideas

- Wix to record my progress and to build my portfolio
