My Ambitions

My long term ambition is to work closely with up and coming Drum and Bass/Grime artists, working towards eventually owning my own record label which would specialise in this particular genre of music.

I would like to achieve the level of success other labels have and to provide my clients with the opportunity to become regular features in high end clubs and appear at major festivals.

ABOUT
Me

My name is Daisie Spark, I am currently a student at Northbrook Metropolitan College and I am studying event management so that I can become a record label owner and a club owner.

My Skills

Whilst working in retail, I have gained valuable skills such as organisational, communication and time management skills. Additionally, I have learned to multi-task, be flexible and deal with conflict resolution.

These skills will be very beneficial when managing artists as it will enable me to keep to time schedules and deadlines and liaise between the artists and the venues I work with.

What got me into music

Very early on in life I found a love for music, I was exposed to many different genres of music by my grandparents, parents and older siblings. It ranged from early 1960`s to current music.

My grandparents were avid fans of 1960`s music whilst my parents grew up in the late 1970`s and 1980`s. My dad enjoyed music by bands such as Pink Floyd and AC/DC whereas my mum`s preference was for bands such as Duran Duran and Wham. My brothers listened to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Gorrilaz and Basshunter and my sister was into popular music  such as JLS, Sclub7 and Ollie Murs. As a result of this, I developed a love and appreciation for all types of genres.

When I started to explore music for myself I found a love for Drum and Bass. I would find a new mix almost everyday and loved that I could share and enjoy it with my friends.
