Press Pack for Project 2

For our project 2 we had to create a Press pack that was about the artists we are working with.

My press pack included information about both artists, Lyricist and Turner Page.

It has a couple of photos and a poster for their first official gig together which we planned to have at Bar 42 in Worthing on the 11th of December 2019. The gig includes a mixture of genres of music, with a mixture of performers.

Press Pack 2

For this press pack I decided to just promote Jordon (Lyricist) as the first press pack was for the artists performing at the gig that we organised. This one however is solely focused on Jordon for his music and his performances which gives you in idea of the scale that Jordon performs. When I first met Jordon he had difficulty expressing and understanding his emotions and he was in a very angry mindset, but when he would rap to me or to a group he could get all his anger out and it really helped him develop as a person, whilst helping him learn about his emotions we developed a close relationship and he became a good friend that would also helped me. He has evolved as a person and I am glad that I could be a part of his discoveries that came with the struggles and the successes of life. I am proud that he is taking his potential career seriously and I am lucky to be a part of it.

Press Pack 3

I had to remake this press pack as while doing research I found out that a press pack was supposed to be short and snappy while delivering a lot of information about the artist and also creating a public persona for them that describes them and their music. I also added links to his music on Soundcloud and the track that is released on Bandcamp.

I was told that you should put the location of where they are based first as people will relate to where it is and they will also have a preconceived image of what their personality is judged by where you say they are based.

I was also told that the phrase "He has a cheeky personality and is a hard worker." was a good and snappy line that sums him up.

From trial and error I have learned how to write a convincing and interesting press pack without it being longwinded and having too many words so that people don't get bored of reading about the artist. I will take this forward and expand while working with other artists.
